Thank you, Yoga To The People

by Christina on February 23, 2011

Just got back from a Yoga To The People Class: L O V E D it. It was just what I needed after a long busy day at work staring at my computer, stressing about details, neglecting my breathing.

It was packed with over 50 people (yes, 50!). It was only $5 (yes, only $5!). It was HOT (which I love!). The teacher’s voice was so sooooothing (made me relax). She played good and loud music (gave me energy). I was anonymous (which I wanted). It was only 60 minutes (right amount of time). And, she ended the class with my most favorite Rilke quote:

“Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.”

Me too 🙂 I love the idea of a yoga studio having a manifesto/mission and this is such a good one.
