Pure food

I’ve kept you in suspense long enough! Here they are:

Cacao bean

That’s what pure, raw chocolate looks like.

Emily recently discovered this:

100% chocolate! The highest I had been able to find was 85%. Drop a little honey or agave on top and it’s a perfect (not to sugary) sweetness.

Nutmeg

That is what a nutmeg looks like! Note: too much nutmeg is poison and can be fatal.

Oil Palm (used to make Palm Oil)

That’s a picture of the palm fruit: they grow in bunches and are really heavy. Each red fruit has an oily outer layer and an oily inner seed – this oil is used a lot in the commercial food industry (especially for deep frying).

Mangoes

Mmm, beloved mangoes on a mango tree.

I’ve been buying pure cacao– in powder form — for a few weeks now. I LOVE it! I put it in blended coffee drinks and also dip raw fruit in it, like fondue. No sugar needed!

That’s SUCH a good idea – where do you get it? I need to get some! What do you mix it with for fondue?! Ah that is brilliant.
