Morning gold

“The morning hour has gold in its mouth.” ~Benjamin Franklin

I love my mornings (when I can have them) — they keep me sane. I’ve been trying to make more time for them this week and it’s true… good morning time makes the rest of my day so much better.

These days, this is what my morning time includes (I need about 1 hour and 20 minutes):

1: Coffee (starbucks via = most efficient), write, email, read. (30 minutes)

2: Yoga in my space-heated candle-lit kitchen. (45 minutes)

3: Avocado & fruit pre-breakfast breakfast (yay persimmon season!). (10 minutes)

Step 4: Chug water & Fab5 vitamins (really like these - click for link).

Then time to go!

Most days I’m tired and feel too rushed… but I’m working on it! That time is golden and I want to make the most of it… any advice? What’s in your morning ritual?!

I start my day by planning the tasks I want to get done during the day, exercising for about an hour, eating a uber-healthy breakfast full of fruit, and feeling grateful for how lucky I am to have the life and family I have.
