Are you getting enough iodine?

I love Dr. Greger’s and the weekly high-quality and evidence-based videos on nutrition. This week’s videos were excellent – see below:

Why you may want to consider an iodine supplement (especially if pregnant or breastfeeding):iodineAs a nursing mother I am now going to make sure I am getting 150 micrograms/day of potassium iodide. I just checked and my New Chapter Prenatal Vitamins only have 90 mcg of potassium iodide (and serving size is 3 pills so that is only 30 mcg/pill!)  fullsizerender-13

I wish more doctors followed Dr. Greger’s work and example. Great post!
